Work and Exhibitions:

• Programme Assistant, Ikon gallery, Birmingham. December 2007 - Current

• Speaker at the A-Foundation, Liverpool. I spoke about the relationship between horticulture and visual culture and about the gardening/ art projects I have worked on. 30th October 2007

• Curatorial Assistant for the Off-site projects (EXPLORE) at aspex gallery, Portsmouth, UK. I assisted with the curating and organising of projects which happened outside aspex gallery.   Projects I worked on include Lisa Cheung's 'Sprit of Gosport', a radio play based on peoples stories of the Gosport Ferry, Eduardo Navarro's 'Amen', and 'The Future Haunts My', a performance by Lindsay Seers on South Parade Pier which was part of the Portsmouth Film Festival.   I also assisted the artist Barby Asante, running some workshops at Southsea Castle. I also curated A Lot Ment. PT May- November 2007

• Exhibition Co-ordinator, 'Emergency3', an open submission exhibition at aspex gallery, Portsmouth, UK. This involved processing submissions and presenting the material to the selectors, returning material to the artists, contacting and talking with the selected artists, doing studio visits, organising the show, and helping install the exhibition. PT August- November 2007

• Workshop leader -Grow Your Own Food and Cook Using the Sun's Energy, at the Museum of Garden History, London. I worked with ten young people establishing an allotment in a park near the Museum, and making solar ovens.   Once the produce had grown we harvested it, cooked it in the solar ovens and had a dinner party in the park.   PT July-Sept 2007.

• Curator/ artist on the Albert Road Artwork Steering Group, Portsmouth.   This involved working with members of the community (local people, children, council officers, and shop owners) envisaging an artwork for Albert Road in Portsmouth.   I then presented these ideas to Portsmouth Council and The Albert Road Traders Association. 15-18th July 2007

•  Member of the Portsmouth Screen Film Festival Steering Group.   I assisted with the organising of the festival, I helped find venues, sponsors, with organising the gala night, and delivering publicity material. I attended regular meetings to discuss the event and I took the minutes.   July-November 2007

• Art handler and seller at ArtFutures, Bloomberg Space, London. March 2007

• Curatorial intern, Witte de With, Centre of Contemporary Art, Rotterdam.   I co-curated an evening of film screenings with the artist Melvin Moti; I wrote the exhibition brochure for the Brian Jungen exhibition and texts for the website; I gave tours of the show to undergraduate art students; researched the forthcoming show 'Outside Deep Throat'; and researched artists for the Rotterdam Film Festival.   October -   December 2006.

• Artist, artist assistant, and workshop leader for Space on Earth Station, an artwork developed by the artists Neal White and N55, which featured in the show 'Space Soon' at the Camden Roundhouse.   I ran workshops for young people on the subject of 'energy' with the artist Marcus Athilers; I made a garden for the Space Station; and I lived on the Space Station for the duration of the show.   August - September 2006.

• Co-curator and organizer of 'Back to the Future' and evening event at the ICA, London.   I worked with ten other students from Goldsmiths College on developing the concept behind the event, contacting potential participants, and applying for funding.   Participants included Tom Morton, Claire Doherty, Lynda Morris and Edgar Schmitz.   July 2006.

• Co-curator of Reading University's Art Department post degree show, Mile End Pavilion, London.   This involved selecting twenty works, publicizing the show, placing works and installing the work, and organizing the students.   June 2006.

• With ten other judges I selected and co-curated the Celeste Painting Prize.   In its first year the prize aims to support painting, and it is an extention of the Italian prize. We selected thirty works to be exhibited in the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, two of which won a prize.   June 2006.

• Co-curator of 'Rag 'n Bone', Three Colts Gallery, London.   An exhibition of fifteen Goldsmiths Fine Art students.   This exhibition was a summing up of the work I had been doing over the year with the Fine Art students, this time taking our work outside college into a gallery.   May 2006.

• I was the curator, organizer, and fundraiser of Hostel, a 36 hour continuous event at Keith Talent Gallery, London. Forty artists, philosophers, gardeners, musicians, curators, cultural theorists (as well as others) came together to give lectures, do performances, cook their produce, initiate activities, and make the event.   Participants included Roger Cook, Simon Glendinning, Jeremy Willet, Allsop&wier, and the bands Shimmyriversandandcanal, and The Vichy Government.   January 2006.

•  Curator of 'Allotment', a group exhibition on Earley Gate Allotments, Reading, UK.   I kept an allotment for two years where I (as well as growing vegetables) curated two exhibitions and some events such a dinner party, a sleep over, a bike ride, and a parade.    March 2005 .

• Curator of and exhibitor in   'Animated Spaces', a group exhibition at New Greenham Arts Center, Newbury, Berkshire.   January 2005.

• Artist's assistant for the regeneration project 'Art Changes Bracknell', UK.   Bracknell will be undergoing massive change, and I worked with the local community envisaging what a new Bracknell could be like.   I worked in schools and with people with learning difficulties.   October 2004 - March 2005.

• Artists' assistant for N55, in Copenhagen, Denmark.   I helped install the exhibition 'Office of the Future'; and I designed and made a 'Cider Factory' for the show, and wrote a manual about how to do this.   August - September 2004.

• Intern at LUX, London. Lux promotes artist moving image work and I helped to manage their distribution facility, their archive, and to build the LUXonline website.   June - August 2003.

• Curator and events organizer, Reading University Art Society Exhibition, Reading University Student Union.   November 2002.
